Happy Thankgiving!!!!

Well, we have just finished celebrating Robbie's first Thanksgiving and it was exciting!
We went over to my mom's house yesterday and had a nice time. We had all the trimmings and Robbie had a feast too! Cindy had placed some turkey, corn, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and a roll on his tray to eat. He did a good job on the various items and ate a good portion as well. Needless to say,his tummy matched mine! LOL
After getting home, we had set up his high chair for him to have some pumpkin pie and whipped cream! Boy did he dig into that! There will be pictures in the future on how things turned out, but he looked very messy and happy! *grin* After cleaning him up, Cindy and I got him up on his feet and practiced his walking. After about 3 or 4 trips between us (we usually sit about 2 or 3 feet apart), I was holding him by his waist and let go. Well, after a few moments, ROBBIE WALKED UNASSISTED to his mom! We were thankful to be able to see him take his first steps together. There were about 2 or 3 steps taken the very first time and we both clapped our hands to let him know how excited we were for him. We both gave him big hugs and congratulated him on this accomplishment. Of course now we will need to be careful and watch him more intently when he is down stairs. Also, this past week, Robbie got his 5th tooth! It is on the upper right hand side of his mouth and is breaking through nicely. Later next week, Robbie will be turning 11 months old and I can't believe how fast time has flown since we brought him home this past January. In a few weeks, we will head to Florida for a visit and Robbie will fly for the first time! We are looking forward to this trip and a good time as well.

That is about all the news at this point. We will have some more pictures to show from Thanksgiving once they are developed. Until then, here are some others for your viewing pleasure!
See ya!

Ohio State-Michigan week

Welcome once again folks!
For those of us that live in Ohio and Michigan, it is the week of THE BIG GAME! Once again, Ohio State will battle Michigan in Ann Arbor for the conference title, with the winner heading to the Rose Bowl! It has been awhile since Ohio State has been to Pasadena, 1997 to be precise. That was the year Ohio State beat Arizona State 20-17.
So with Ohio State sitting at #7 in the BCS polls and an extremely slight chance to play in the National Championship in New Orleans, we are confident that Coach Tressel will have the boys ready to play and then wait to see how the rest of this crazy college football season will unfold. We shall wait patiently as well to see where our beloved Buckeyes will play this bowl season.
On the home front, Robbie caught croup a few weeks ago and he did not like it very much (neither did mom and dad). The medicine that we had to give him 2 times a day was steroids. While I am not sure if it is the muscle enhancer, like those in pro sports, he did not want any part of it! But we were able to get him to take it and he is over it! Robbie continues to develop and is very close to walking! Cindy and I try to practice with him each evening to walk and he is getting pretty close. He can scoot pretty well on the floor by crawling or holding onto furniture and walking with assistance. Who knows, maybe he will take him first steps while in Florida! Wouldn't that be great to walk by himself while visiting grandpa and grammie! We shall see!
Well campers,time to head out!
Enjoy the new picture of Robbie!

10 months and counting!

Greetings once again folks!
Well, there have been a few things happening at the Tremblay household. About a week ago, Robbie came down with croup and it was not fun. We are not sure where he got it at since he went to the neighborhood library for reading day (where stories are read to children of different age groups) and of course at church on Sunday. But nonetheless, we were awaken by him coughing like a seal bark (not a pretty sound) on early Wednesday morning. Cindy took him in to the doctor's office and they told her that Robbie did have croup and gave him a prescription for steroids. Well, needless to say, he is back to normal self. We are getting ourselves geared up for his first trip to Florida to see grandpa and grammie! It should be lots of fun and a well deserved rest for us. Also, Robbie is doing a very good job of standing on his own (with some assistance of furniture sometimes)! He enjoys moving around the living room while holding onto the furniture for some balance. He has tried to get pass the road block that we have set up for him to contain him in the living room. Cindy has rearranged some items to make it tougher for him to wander into the kitchen and dining room. While he has not attempted to go up the stairs yet, we do have a fence up just to be safe! :D
Well, we will have some new photos in the coming week or so of Robbie and he looks very cute!
Until next time, have a great day!
