Greetings once again campers!
Here we are in the middle of April and we are having fun once again! This past week, Cindy, Robbie and I (along with our dog Chloe), went for a walk around the block to get some fresh air and get out of the house. I am glad that spring is finally here and that winter is coming to a close in our neck of the woods. With the warmer weather taking its sweet time to get here (since there is a small chance of snow for the weekend AAAAGGGGG!!!), we will be able to go for walks around the neighborhood and get a little exercise in as well. Hopefully we can make this a weekly activity, with a chance to go to an area park to play and relax some.
Robbie continues to learn new things each day it seems and he is really blooming into a great little boy! His personality is developing very nicely and is very outgoing. Sometimes he will play being bashful when he goes to some places. On a few occasions when we drop him off at church into his classroom, he will either hide behind us or grab our legs and bury his face into them while giggling. Also, his tummy seems to be expanding! Last night I had fixed some scrambled eggs with some bacon. Well, all we had was 3 jumbo eggs, which I thought might be enough for both of us. Since Cindy was at a meeting at work (working part time at the YMCA after school program), I went ahead and served the eggs to him. He ended up eating about the entire amount that I had prepared! When Cindy arrived home, I told her how much he ate and she was quite surprised! I told her that I think Robbie was about to hit a growth spurt. We will find out soon enough! Speaking of growth. One day this past week or so, he was being quite fussy and crying. Upon checking him out, I discovered 3 teeth coming in. All 3 were molars! Since this discovery, we have been putting Oral gel on the gums around them to give him some comfort and a better chance to sleep the entire night as well. It is amazing how fast a child can grow up in such a short period of time. Also, since one of his iron levels are pretty low, we have been giving him iron supplements to help get it to a better level. Hopefully on the next check up with his doctor, she will be able to tell us if it is working or not. I tend to think that it is working well with him. At his last check up, he was up to 23 pounds and 2 feet 3 inches.
As I had previously mentioned, Cindy got a part-time job with the YMCA working with the after school program. She was assigned to a elementary school near the house that is easy to get to and she seems to be enjoying it as well. Her hours are Monday thru Friday from 2:45pm until 5 or 6pm. It also gives us a discount on our YMCA membership too. So it is a win-win situation.
That is about it for the time being. We should have some new pictures coming shortly since we just finished another role of film. And with the warmer weather coming, we will be able to get some more outdoor pictures to share on here as well.
Until next time!
