Georgia Part dos (2)

Greetings once again everyone!
As I ended the previous post discussing our family trip to NE Georgia back in June, there was quite a bit of things that had taken place while we were there. We were able to spend a few days with Robbie's grandparents and had a great time. We strolled around the town where they were staying. If you ever get a chance to visit Helen, Georgia, I think you will enjoy it very much. We took a horse & carriage ride thru part of the town and it was very relaxing. The name of our horse was Sampson and he was very strong too! We were able to take in a round of putt-putt golf course while in Helen. The course was pretty tricky at times. There were some holes that had multiple levels, ramps, and other obstacles to make it a bit more challenging than your regular par 2 course. I did not fair very well either. Maybe some other time.
We did go to a local beach back in Hiawassee a few times and it was very nice. Not too crowded, clean beach, good area to swim and had a play area for Robbie to play in as well. He enjoyed his time at the beach and really enjoyed the water too.
We headed back early on Sunday morning (around 7:30am) and did do pretty well getting back to Ohio around 8pm that evening. We met with Shelby's folks for dinner (hey Scott & Dawn!) at Quaker Steak & Lube in Canton. During the trip back to Ohio, Robbie did not want to take a nap at all. He kept fighting sleep and did take a cat nap (about 20 minutes or so) around mid-afternoon. However, he did eventually fall asleep on the way home from Canton (which was around 10am) and slept the whole night.
Well, it is now been a few months since our trip and things are going well. Next week, Cindy begins a new position at the YMCA in their aftercare program. She will be the director at Bennett Adventure Academy here in Toledo. She will be working in the afternoon most of the time, thus being able to spend more time with Robbie as well. I have been getting myself prepared to go on my very first missions trip to Chile this coming October. I will be part of 8 people from my church and a total of 35 from across the US that will be going to a girl's orphanage in Santiago for 2 weeks. While there, we will be building a new building, renovating 2 others to increase useful space and minister to the girls that are at the orphanage. The name of the ministry that runs it is called vision for Chile. They have a website that you can check out if you want to find out more information. It is www.missionforchile.org. We will be there from October 4th thru the 19th with some days for sightseeing as well. I hope to be able to get some pictures while on the trip.
That is about it for the time being. In a few weeks, Cindy and I will celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary on September 1st and it sure has been a fun & enjoyable marriage.
I have added a few more pictures from our trip. I trust you will enjoy them.
Until next time!

Fore score and eons ago......

I can't believe it has been over a month and a half since my last post here! So much has happened in this time frame that I hope to be able to remember all the events that took place. To start things off, today (July 29th) is Robbie's 19 month anniversary of living! He continues to grow a little each day and can be a funny little boy most of the time. He recently had 2 new teeth added to the lower part of his mouth near the front. He had a rough time with them coming in. But he seems to be getting back to normal at this point. The only problem we have with him at this point is he likes to bite (not a good thing). Some of the times it is by accident when he tries to get up on the couch or a chair and he uses everything to get to that point. Well, if mom or dad are near, we might get a little bite that can be quite painful. Maybe if we bought him a mouth piece....(just kidding). He is also getting very good at saying words like "car", "ball", "hi" and a very cute, high pitched "bark" like a dog. Of course, while we were on our family vacation to NE Georgia back in late June, we brought along our "niece" Shelby to help entertain Robbie. For about 2 days, we would ask Robbie to say "Shelby". Well, one morning, we were up and getting breakfast put together. Robbie just started going off with "Elby"! And he would say this about 5 or 6 times in a row! It was quite funny some of the times because he would walk out into the living room, point up to the ceiling fans (there were fans all over the cabin) and call out to "Elby". He has continued to mention Shelby (aka Elby) at different times since we have been home from Georgia and it is great to hear.
Some of the things we did while in Georgia did include seeing Cindy's brother Joe. He has began ministerial studies thru Columbia Internation University. He was taking 2 weeks of classes to get things going and will occasionally return to the States from Taiwan to do more in class work. There are some classes he can do on-line that will go towards his degree as well. His next trip to the States will be around December/January timeframe for the next 2 week session. We also went to a church where the pastor is the person that lead Cindy to Christ back in the early 90's. They were both attending Clemson during this time and he was a member of the men's soccer team. He is now a pastor at a Presbyterian church outside of Atlanta in Douglasville. We had a good time and enjoyed the service as well. We also went to the Coca-cola muesum in downtown Atlanta, and despite not being a Coke fan, I did have a good time. Robbie spent the day with Grandpa and Grammie at our cabin while Cindy, Shelby and myself went to check this place out. They had a short movie (about 30 minutes I believe) that was in 4D. You had to wear special glasses to see the show and I found it very cool! It would be interesting to see a few movies in this format...like all 6 Star Wars, Lord of the Rings triology and Saving Private Ryan. They also had a room that contained all the soda (or pop) that Coke makes all over the world. There is something like 64 flavors and a few of them were not too bad! I did try one that did leave a nasty taste in my mouth (I think it was from the Middle East region) so I quickly went over to get a full cup of Barq's root beer. It took care of the taste. We had also made a day trip to Cindy's old stomping grounds in Clemson,SC. We met up with a good friend and former tennis coach of Cindys that is now the compliance officer for the football team. We had lunch at one of the favorite spots in downtown Clemson and the food was really good! We then spent the rest of the afternoon on a sightseeing tour of Clemson's campus, with Cindy being out guide. It is a beautiful campus and we was able to get some good pictures as well. Some of them will be posted with this post.
The drive down to Georgia was pretty decent. We left Toledo around 6:30pm and headed to Canton to pick up Shelby. We made stops about every 250 miles or so for gas and to streach out as well. Needless to say, Robbie slept all night until we were west of Charlotte, NC. There were a few times he woke up for about 10 minutes or so when we made stops along the way. But then he would go back to sleep shortly after getting back on the road. We arrived in Atlanta around 10am on Saturday and I was ready to hit the sack! We went to the place Joe had been staying until our hotel room became available later that afternoon.
I will close for the time being since it is time to head home. Here are a few pictures from this trip. Enjoy!

Greetings again!

Howdy everyone!
Well here we are about to hit mid-June and it has made its statement that we could be looking forward to a storm-filled summer. Within the last week, our area has had some pretty severe weather that has included tornadoes, very high winds (almost 100 mph) in some areas, and quite a bit of rain as well. There have been some trees/branches that have came down due to the storms and of course, lost power in some areas here. Fortunately, we have been spared of any damage. The last storm that came last night (Monday, June 9th) brought down a large tree at the other end of our street. I am not sure if there was any damage caused, but it appears there was none. Hopefully things will calm down and we will have some good weather (and a bit cooler too).
Needless to say, life has been busy for us as usual (nothing new right?). We finished up our classes to foster/adopt through Lucas County on the 31st of May and now we just need to complete some forms to turn in to the Children's Service that will allow us to foster to adopt a child through the county. There will be a few other things that we will have to do as well once we turn everything in to be licenced. But it should not be much of a problem since some of the items are stuff that we had to do to get Robbie.

Speaking of the little guy, he has added another tooth. While it was a bit painful for him, he seems to be getting better and back to being a cute little boy. Also, he got another haircut that makes him look more like a little boy than a baby. He is also learning a few words too! Some of the words that he can say are mommy, daddy, and hi. There are a few others that he mumbles at times that sound pretty close to actual words and I am sure in a little while, he will expand his vocabulary to include some other words. Just the other day, Cindy had called her dad to see how things were going since their return from vacation. Well, Robbie was fussing a bit since mommy was giving her attention to his grandpa and not him. Well, Cindy placed the phone near him and he kept saying "Hi" a few times to Grandpa. From the sound of the chatting, he made Grandpa's day! It is utterly amazing how fast they grow up before your eyes. While we have heard numerous times that time flies by with your children growing up, it is hard to believe that even a year has passed since we dedicated Robbie at church! Just to see his smile and his little eyes light up when he is playing with you, it a pure delight! As Cindy sometimes says, "I want another one". That pretty much sums it up for me too. He is such a blessing to Cindy and I (even when he doesn't listen to us) that it is hard to imagine our lives without him. We are looking forward to watching this little boy, our son, grow up before our eyes and all the things he will learn, both the easy way and the hard way.
Well, within the coming week, Cindy's brother Joe will be heading to the United States to begin his ministerial studies to become a pastor in Taiwan. We will be able to see him on our upcoming trip to Georgia for our family vacation this year. It will be good to see him again since it has been some time since Cindy has seen him. My prayer is that gas prices will drop a bit more before our trip takes place as the average is over $4.00 a gallon. We will see!
As I wrap this blog up, just glad to see that the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup over the Pittsburgh Penguins 4 games to 2. That gives the Red Wings 11 Cups overall and their 4th in the last 11 years. Maybe next year they will be able to repeat. We will see.
Until next time, have a great day!

17 Months old!!

Sakes alive! It just seems like these months are just buzzing away these days! Well today (May 29Th) is Robbie's 17Th month birthday. While our lives have been a bit crazy with various things taking place, it is good to have him as our son. He has been a joy to watch grow up and begin to show some more of his personality. He is going to be a great little boy that will be quite stubborn at times and shows it very well! *grin* I kindly remind him that I have more experience at being stubborn (40 plus years) to his 17 months. I can say that he is persistent in his efforts to get his way. But for the most part, he hears the terms "tough luck", no, and not now. He either puts on a pouty face or might stick out his lower lip and frown (which is quite cute sometimes). However, on occasion, he tightens his body up a bit and lets out a little scream. Of which Cindy and I kind of get a surprise look on our face and exclaim "Oh Really??". It can be cute or tiresome at times.
And since he is getting older, his vocabulary is getting a bit bigger too! There are times when we are in the car and we will banter back and forth with letters (like A,B,C,etc), HI, and a few that are hard to figure out at times. But he does call out to mommy and daddy, quack (like a duck),elephant, yum and can tell us if he wants more, all done, and I am sorry (which is usually after time out for his form of discipline) with his hands (which Cindy has taught him some sign language).
He is climbing the stairs at our house (with mommy or daddy) very well and has even followed direction when I have instructed him it is time to go to bed! He is so smart and learning things on a daily basis.
On Memorial Day, I was out in the backyard working and he came out to play on the slide (which he loves very much!) and did a great job pushing himself down the slide into our arms. In about 3 weeks, we will be heading down to NE Georgia to vacation for about a week. While there, Cindy's brother Joe will be in the States taking classes for a degree in ministry thru Columbia International University. He will be in the Atlanta area for about 2 weeks to begin the process and then complete most of it online back in his home in Taiwan. We are all excited to be able to see him again since it has been 4 years since he was here in the States. We will also see some friends of Cindy that she has not seen in a while. One of them is the person who lead her to the Lord while she was attending Clemson. It should be a great time and a much needed rest for all of us!
Well, time to wrap up for this entry. This Saturday is our last 2 sessions for our foster/adopt classes through Lucas County and then we will be good to go for the home study!
Until next time!

Yup! Its May!

Another month in the journey of our lives.
Well as you can see, it is now the month of May and it was a while ago that I had posted about Robbie and other family happenings. Needless to say, I have been busy.
Robbie is still developing very nicely and is getting to be getting picky at times too when it comes to food. While there are times we wonder if he got enough or not, I know that the iron medicine that he is taking can make him not as hungry at times. His energy level has increased a bit since he began taking the iron. But he still get worn out after a good day of playing.
Cindy and I have been going to classes to foster/adopt children here in Lucas County. We are about half way through the classes (10 total) that have been pretty intense. They have covered quite a bit material in the last few weeks that have placed a heavy workload on our brains! While we understand the depth and details of each section, it is pretty tough at times. There have been topics that need to be addressed to make sure that the people who foster or adopt are the right kind of folks to care for these children. Too many times, people attempt to foster or adopt the children and they just mistreat them in various manners. We are hoping to be able to adopt thru the county. Thus we will be able to increase our family in this manner. We shall see!
A few weeks ago, I worked at the radio station for a few days during their bi-annual fundraiser called Sharathon. They were able to meet their goals and will continue to minister to kids, teens and everyone that tunes in. What a blessing they are!
Well, time to close for the time being. There are other things that have taken place in our lives that will be written here shortly.
Have a great day!

15 months and counting!

Greetings once again campers!
Here we are in the middle of April and we are having fun once again! This past week, Cindy, Robbie and I (along with our dog Chloe), went for a walk around the block to get some fresh air and get out of the house. I am glad that spring is finally here and that winter is coming to a close in our neck of the woods. With the warmer weather taking its sweet time to get here (since there is a small chance of snow for the weekend AAAAGGGGG!!!), we will be able to go for walks around the neighborhood and get a little exercise in as well. Hopefully we can make this a weekly activity, with a chance to go to an area park to play and relax some.

Robbie continues to learn new things each day it seems and he is really blooming into a great little boy! His personality is developing very nicely and is very outgoing. Sometimes he will play being bashful when he goes to some places. On a few occasions when we drop him off at church into his classroom, he will either hide behind us or grab our legs and bury his face into them while giggling. Also, his tummy seems to be expanding! Last night I had fixed some scrambled eggs with some bacon. Well, all we had was 3 jumbo eggs, which I thought might be enough for both of us. Since Cindy was at a meeting at work (working part time at the YMCA after school program), I went ahead and served the eggs to him. He ended up eating about the entire amount that I had prepared! When Cindy arrived home, I told her how much he ate and she was quite surprised! I told her that I think Robbie was about to hit a growth spurt. We will find out soon enough! Speaking of growth. One day this past week or so, he was being quite fussy and crying. Upon checking him out, I discovered 3 teeth coming in. All 3 were molars! Since this discovery, we have been putting Oral gel on the gums around them to give him some comfort and a better chance to sleep the entire night as well. It is amazing how fast a child can grow up in such a short period of time. Also, since one of his iron levels are pretty low, we have been giving him iron supplements to help get it to a better level. Hopefully on the next check up with his doctor, she will be able to tell us if it is working or not. I tend to think that it is working well with him. At his last check up, he was up to 23 pounds and 2 feet 3 inches.

As I had previously mentioned, Cindy got a part-time job with the YMCA working with the after school program. She was assigned to a elementary school near the house that is easy to get to and she seems to be enjoying it as well. Her hours are Monday thru Friday from 2:45pm until 5 or 6pm. It also gives us a discount on our YMCA membership too. So it is a win-win situation.

That is about it for the time being. We should have some new pictures coming shortly since we just finished another role of film. And with the warmer weather coming, we will be able to get some more outdoor pictures to share on here as well.

Until next time!

Well...more snow

Greetings once again folks!
Despite the fact the calendar says it is spring, God is using his sense of humor to let us know that it can snow in spring and it is not just a winter thing. Within the last week, we have received about 8 inches of snow. Hopefully it will melt away since the real Opening Day for baseball here in the States is this Monday! And yes, my beloved Tigers open in Detroit on Monday against Kansas City. Justin Verlander is the opening day starting pitcher for the Tigers and I am certain that we will walk away with a win! I am looking forward to an exciting season with a good chance the Tigers will be playing into late October and the World Series. We will see how it works out!

On the home front, Robbie enjoyed his Easter very much. We had a Easter egg hunt on Saturday in the house since there was about 7 inches of snow on the ground and pretty cold as well. So Cindy had hidden several eggs while he took his nap and when he woke up, she guided him around the house to find all the eggs (they were plastic & had candy in them) and he did a really good job too! :) We had also got him some toys to play with since giving him too much candy at h is age would not be a good thing. One of his toys was a very big blue ball! He is able to pick it up pretty well and roll it around the front room as well. Robbie is getting better at letting us know if he wants certain things like juice (which might be a nickname for him in the future!) or if he wants to be held. He has also began throwing temper tantrums and in a sense, they are pretty cute right now. Both Cindy and I kind of laugh whenever he does it because he looks so cute. He tends to stand in one spot and scream while looking at us and clinches his little hands tightly. I know there will be a time when he will not be as cute with his outbursts, but in the meantime, I shall cherish them.
Last night after we had dinner, Cindy went to Robbie's Easter basket and gave him a blue peep. After fiddling with it for a few minutes, Cindy took a small piece and stuck it on the end of his nose! Too bad we did not have the camera ready to take a picture of it. But maybe next time! We had also gone over to my Aunt Mary Jo's house for Easter since that is where my mom is recuperating from her surgery. She was in good spirits and is getting closer to being herself again each day. She is looking forward to going back to her apartment once she gets back to full strength.

Well that is about it for the time being. Hopefully the next time I write, there will be no snow and the it will be warmer than 40 degrees!

Spring is almost here!

Time sure does fly when life happens!
We now are a few weeks into March and I have wondered where all the time has gone. While it is true that when you have a little one (or more) in the house, it seems like you are in a time warp! So without further adieu, here is what has been happening at the household!

As usual, Robbie has been growing and developing pretty well since the last entry. He is slowly closing in on 15 months (on the 29th of March) and is running, throwing, and chatting away (at least in baby lingo). He is getting better in the walking department without crashing & burning too much these days. He has even tried to climb the stairs at the house a few times (and got as high as the 3rd step). Of course, Cindy & I promptly take him upstairs to his bedroom and place him in his crib for some timeout. Cindy got the idea from her dad who had done that to her older brother Joe when he was a little guy and their house had stairs. Robbie sometime gets that mischievous look in his eyes just before he touches the stairs and giggles when he does it. Sometimes it is hard not to laugh, but we take him up for a few minutes and then bring him down. Most of the time, I usually give him a lecture on playing on the stairs, the reason mommy & daddy take him up and all the other stuff that goes along with it. The other day, Cindy took him outside to play in the backyard since we had some snow, and he had a ball! Even though he does not like putting on his coat sometimes, he had a good time. This past week, some friends from church asked us to watch their dog--a 1 year old black lab. Robbie has used her as a cushion to lay his head or body on her. At least it isn't Chloe.
In other news, my mom had a artery bypass on the 10th and came through with flying colors! She will be staying with one of my aunts while she recovers and can return to her apartment. Thanks to everyone who prayed for her. It sure has made things a bit easier for all of us.
Well, time to head out for the time being. Hopefully, next time will not be that long!

Spring is near!

With the end of February coming closer and March right around the corner, it is good to know that spring is drawing near! Major League baseball camps are in full swing as players and coaches prepare for another season. Being a Tigers fan, I can hardly wait for the regular season to begin to see how my beloved Tigers will do with all the new players coming in this season and of course the guys that have been there for a little while. Also, in celebration of this glorious time of the year, Robbie has been picking up a little ball that he can actually throw and has been playing "catch" with Cindy & I. Robbie & I were playing last night in the living room and he promptly threw his ball right at me! While he has plenty of time to work on his location (about 10 years or so),he did really well. So at this point of his life (almost 14 months) he has throwing a ball and running down pretty well to be able to play T-ball in a few years! Now to work on the swing...*grin*

Also, Cindy picked up a storage unit for us to put Robbie's toys into. It is a 8 cubbie hole unit that we placed 3 red boxes in to hold some of the toys that Robbie has. It is very nice and does the job very well! I am sure it will last for quite some time.

Also today (Feb. 22nd) is my grandma's birthday! She turns 90 years old! I sure hope that I can live this long and be able to recall most of the events that have taken place in my life time. It is amazing to know all the things that have taken place in her life from 1918 until now.

As for my mom. She is doing well and has a few doctor appointments in the coming week before the operation takes place. One doctor is thinking that it will take place in the next 3 weeks or so.

That is it for the time being. Have a great rest of the week and we will chat with ya later!

Yup! Its winter!

Howdy campers!
Well as promised, here are a few pictures from Robbie's 1st birthday! Just so you know, dad (or mom) did nothing to encourage him to slam his face into the cake. He did it all himself!
Well, here we are a few days away from Valentine's Day and I am praying for Spring to get here pronto! It has been interesting in our home since my last post. Both Cindy and Robbie had to deal with illness that we are not sure where they may have gotten it. Fortuately, I have not gotten sick so far this winter (knock on wood!). While I have rapped up another year of Men's Fraternity (an excellant ministry!), Cindy and I have enrolled into a 13 week class at church called Financial Peace University. Dave Ramsey is the teacher for this program that is done via video and a workbook. We are heading into week #2 tonight (the 11th) and there is homework with each lesson. It has lots of tools for couples to use to get out of, stay out of debt, and begin saving for future events in steps that are not huge. Dave has a national radio program that he speaks about the many things in the area of finances and how to make things work. We are looking forward to learning these tools to be better stewards of the money God has blessed us with through various avenues. I am believing in some good results!
While the sickness bug has made his visit and now out of the house, it is good to see both Cindy & Robbie back to their normal selves. Robbie and I had boys day this past Saturday with Cindy going to Fremont for a women's conference. We had a good time playing and eating (yea that can be fun!) for a good part of the day. We were able to bond a bit more and he is getting very good at walking. He has been able to get to a point of running in short spurts (and crashing too) and running in circles quite well. Could he be a future track star???? Only God knows!
On another note, it has been a tough week for myself as I received a phone call from one of my aunts that she had taken my mom to the hospital due to feeling light headed. After some tests and x-rays were taken, it was discovered that one of her arteries that feeds the right arm & the back of her brain is 90% blocked. I have gone most days to the hospital to check on her and visit. She is scheduled to have an operation to take care of the problem and then be able to return home. While any surgery can be scary, it seems like it should be pretty easy to perform with out much trouble. I will try to update her situation as I am able to do so.
Take care!

Happenings

Greetings everyone!
Well, there are a few things that have been taking place since the last post and so here they are!
First off, Robbie continues to get bigger! He has been getting better with walking around the house (and other places). The other day, he was walking around the living room. Well, he raised both arms straight up and growled like a bear! It was too funny! Of course he is still mastering this and after a number of steps, promptly fell, got back up and resumed his growling. Chloe at times wonders what is going on, but she is having fun playing with Robbie.
Earlier this week, Cindy was going to her Tuesday morning bible study at church. Well, since Robbie is getting better at walking, they moved him up to the toddler group! (He is growing up so quickly!) Anyways, he was just walking along (with food I might add)and came upon a little girl who was in the same room as him. He came to her and said "HI" and promptly kept on walking! At least he has manners! LOL It is amazing how quickly he has grown in this past year! He began as a little peanut and now is a little boy who has some words down and is a character! (Don't know where he gets that from LOL).
Finally, after almost 12 years of being an employee of YES-FM, this Friday, the 25th will be my last day. It has been one of the most difficult decisions that I have had to make in my life. But after much prayer and talking with various people that I trust, it became time for me to step down from the station to spend more time with Cindy & Robbie, whom I love very much! While I will miss my "family" at Yes, I know that God will be faithful to help us make this transition as smooth as possible. It also helps me achieve one of my goals that I set a few years back in the desire to get down to one job. While I may not be a part of the team as an employee, I will still be available for various events in the future. In the meantime, my hours here at WLMB will change from 7-4 to 8-5 Monday thru Friday since we are now under one roof.

Until next time!

Robbie's first birthday

Welcome to the year 2008!
With the beginning of a brand new year, comes lots of firsts in the Tremblay family. First off, Robbie is now 1 year old! While his birthday was a very simple one, there was lots of fun.
Cindy, Robbie, my mom and I went to an area McDonald's for Robbie to play in the playland area. After eating some fries and some bits of a hamburger, Robbie and I ventured into the jungle tubes! It was pretty interesting to climb around the tubes, all the while moving out of the way of other children who were crawling all over this area. Robbie and I made it to one of the pods that resembled a cockpit for a spacecraft. While he played with the control stick, I placed my hands on the floor to move it around and give him the feeling that he was flying the spaceship. As he looked out the window towards Cindy and grandma, he had a big, cheesy grin on his face. Unfortately, we did not have a camera with us for any photo shots. Now for us to get out of the play area, we had to take a slide to get from the top level back to the outside area of the playland. Needless to say, Robbie would do very well as a luger in the Olympics someday if he decided he wanted to follow that road.
We then went to Krogers to get a free birthday cake and a small cake for Robbie to have for himself. While we didn't have cake on his birthday, we did have a good time.
The next day, we came home from church and lunch and proceeded to give him his birthday presents. He received a pop-up tent from Grandpa & Grammie that has 2 doorways and can be used as a hide-a-way in the future. Chloe even has fun with it as well at times. Cindy and I got Robbie a truck that he can either ride on or walk behind. Speaking of walking, he is getting very good at it! He can walk pretty well and at times has walked pretty fast!
Later that evening, we brought out his cake with a big number 1 lit up and him promptly sitting in his onesy in his high chair. We had placed a large plastic table cover under his high chair to keep any cake from getting into the rug. His eyes got pretty big at the site as we sang happy birthday to him. After Cindy blew out the candle, she promptly placed the cake in front of him.
After a few minutes of investigating, he opened his little mouth as wide as he could get it and went head first into the cake! And yes, we do have pictures of this great event! Dad made sure of it! Robbie went on to do this a few more times and by the time he was finished, he had cake all over and even up his nose! We took him up to the tub to give him a bath (since it was bath night anyway) and gave him one to get all the cake off of him and then a regular bath. Needless to say, I don't think I will have to teach Robbie how to be a boy. He is doing a great job being one all by himself!
So as you can tell, he is getting pretty good at being a little guy and I am sure there will be more fun things to bring to you at this site. As soon as we get the birthday film developed, I will place them on here as well.

In other news. We all went back to Florida to attend the funeral of Robbie's great grandma who had passed away on January 4th. Nana would have been 90 years old next month and we are glad she was able to meet Robbie before her homegoing. While we are saddened by this, we all know she is enjoying her glorified body and praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Robbie also got to meet his great-uncle Lee and great aunt Paulina, who live near San Jose, Costa Rica. We had a good time visiting with them and maybe in the future will be able to travel to Costa Rica to visit them.

And finally, after almost 12 years of working at YES-FM, I will be leaving to be able to spend more time with Cindy and Robbie. It has been amazing to see how christian music has changed in over the years since I have been involved in radio. My career began at Mount Vernon Nazarene College (now University) in the fall of 1990 and will conclude, for the time being, on January 25th. While I will miss the daily happenings of working at the station, it is all worth it to be able to spend more time with Robbie and Cindy.
Well, that is about it for the time being. I hope to be a bit more on top of things in the future with this site and be able to bring you news that you will enjoy reading about the Tremblay family.
Until next time!
